Taio Asahisa is a highly accomplished Japanese martial artist born on January 16, 1998, standing 174cm tall. A former K-1 World GP Lightweight Champion, he is renowned for his relentless pressure, exceptional cardio, and a unique striking style known as "Asahisa-ryu Karate." His professional record reflects his status as an elite competitor. In his most recent outing at K-1 World GP 2024, he secured a victory against Ryuka, following a competitive title defense against Tatsuya Oiwa.
Asahisa recently expressed his enthusiasm for competing in RIZIN, specifically for the Fukuoka event, thanking CEO Nobuyuki Sakakibara for arranging a kickboxing match. He takes pride in representing K-1 as a champion and frequently uses the phrase "Botekurikokashite Shimayakasu" (a regional dialect meaning to decisively defeat an opponent) to show his fighting spirit.
